Ali grew up in Leawood, KS and graduated high school from Shawnee Mission East in Prairie Village, KS in 2003. She then went to KU where she tried out different degrees such as engineering and fine arts. Ali ended up graduating with a degree in English in 2009. After graduating from KU, Ali began working for Wells Fargo Bank in Lenexa, KS.
From there Ali moved to a job at a podiatry office. Although not her dream job, Ali did get to design their website, flyers, logos and have some fun doing graphic design among the many other things. It was while practicing design for the podiatry office that Ali realized that graphic design is what she really wanted to do for a career.
In the summer of 2014, Ali started going back to school at Johnson County Community College (JCCC) for a degree in graphic design. She began looking harder for design jobs and found a job at a place called McLiney Lumber and Supply, the owners of Sutherlands HomeBase hardware stores.
In her free time, Ali likes designing websites, watching TV, and playing video games. She also loves spending time with their 4 cats and 2 sugar gliders. Ali is also an avid saltwater fish tank enthusiast, but due to time constraints, does not currently have any saltwater fish.
